Whether you need to study part or full-time, Thompson Rivers University’s (TRU’s) renowned Online Learning is available to provide you a top-notch education.
In recognizing the variety of learning styles, lifestyles, and commitments that exist for students, Open Learning focuses on open, accessible, and flexible learning convenient to the learner. TRU found that for the 2019-2020 academic year, were either studying through Open Learning, or a combination of Open Learning and on-campus studying. Enrolment is continuous, and an open admission policy ensures availability for you whether you are beginning your journey of furthering your education or are already a post-secondary student at another institution. You can choose between self-paced courses or paced courses. Self-paced programs must be completed within 30-weeks but at the student’s preferred pace, whereas paced courses specify start and end dates for courses or programs. With the open admission policy, specific grade point averages (GPAs) are not required when applying for any course registrations or admissions into credential programs. As of the 2020 fall semester, there are available for students.
Additional credits can be earned through TRU’s and through transfer credits. With these systems, academic credits can be awarded on a case-by-case basis if you have obtained valuable previous knowledge, life skills, and/or work experience. Most credits earned from other educational institutions can be transferred into TRU credentials for your courses or programs.
