A quick run-down of Confederation College's nine-Ontario campuses.
Confederation College is a culturally diverse and integral public college with nine total campuses located throughout western Ontario. The main campus is in Thunder Bay with eight additional regional campuses located in Wawa, Marathon, Greenstone, Sioux Lookout, Dryden, Fort Frances, Red Lake, and Kenora.
All programs taught by Confederation College across its nine Ontario campuses range from full-time post-secondary diploma programs, full and part-time certification programs, continuing education courses, general interest courses, and Apprenticeship Training programs. Most programs start in either fall or winter semesters, and some have online offerings. Each campus has differing course offerings:
- Located in the heart of Thunder Bay, the main campus spreads across a 130acre park-like property and is also home to the Thunder Bay Art Gallery.
- Some notable programs among the 80+ taught include Aviation – Flight Management, Civil Engineering Technology, and Film Production.
- The Aviation Centre of Excellence (ACE), which teaches Aviation programs, is located at the Thunder Bay International Airport – an approximately 15-minute drive from the main campus.
- Located in central Dryden, approximately a four-hour drive northwest of Thunder Bay.
- Some notable programs among the 24 taught include the Paramedic Program, Computer Programming, and Practical Nursing.
- Also known as the Longlac campus located in Longlac, approximately a three-hour drive northeast of Thunder Bay.
- Some notable programs among the 23taught include Child and Youth Care, Educational Support, and Personal Support Worker.
- Also known as the Lake on the Woods Campus located in the city of Kenora, approximately a five-hour drive west of Thunder Bay.
- Some notable programs among the 25 taught include Community Integration Through Co-operative Education, Business Fundamentals, and Tourism – Travel and Eco-Adventure.
- Also known as the Northshore Campus located in Marathon, approximately a four-hour drive east of Thunder Bay.
- Some notable programs among the 23 taught include General Arts and Science Certificate, Carpentry, and Business – Accounting.
- Also known as the Rainy River District Campus located in Fort Frances, approximately a four-hour drive west of Thunder Bay.
- Some notable programs among the 25 taught include Social Service Worker – Accelerated, Practical Nursing, and Computer Programming.
- The newest campus of Confederation College located in Red Lake approximately a six-hour drive northwest of Thunder Bay.
- Some notable programs among the 23 taught include Business – Human Resources, Child and Youth Care – Indigenous Specialization, and Pre-Health Sciences – Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees.
- Located in Sioux Lookout, approximately a four-hour drive northwest of Thunder Bay.
